Issue 22: Towards a confident and secure DAB+ future

Twitter backgroundThe number of countries joining together in adopting the DAB family of standards is continually growing. DAB has proven that it is a reliable future proof technology. The opportunities offered by the standard are numerous and in this edition of Eureka! Online just a few of these are highlighted.  For example, Harris Broadcast provides an argument for the extensive cost savings that can be made by broadcasters when comparing DAB+ broadcasting with FM and DRM.  The benefits, the flexibility of the standard and cost savings that can be made by switching to DAB+ provides huge incentives to government and broadcasters to make the switch, speed up the roll-out of the technology and take advantage of the opportunities presented as soon as possible. Will you be the next market to trial DAB+ and follow in the footsteps of over 40 other DAB/DAB+ markets.
