IFA countdown and radio giveaway
There will be a DAB+ radio to win every day on dabplus.de/ifa as part of the countdown to this year’s show. From the start of the show dabplus.de will be regularly updated with photos and videos of the highlights from the DAB+ stand.
New: Program guide on dabplus.de
dabplus.de will feature a new, interactive program guide, with program descriptions on all DAB+ services from ARD, Deutschlandradio and private broadcasters. The dynamic, responsive design offers a selection of DAB+ programs sorted according to the broadcasting areas of the national broadcasters as well as the federal states.
DAB+ on the ARD stand
Using the tagline from the recent DAB+ marketing campaign, this year in Hall 2.2 ARD will present typical radio listening situations for young and old, at home and on the road, encouraging people to experience the joy of listening to radio.
As the show opens on 1 September, fans of the pop star Jay Khan will be given the opportunity to meet for autographs at the DAB + ARD booth.
Accompanying activities at IFA include exclusive DAB+ clips from ARD as well as demonstrations of the ARD-TPEG service.
On September 2 MDR KLASSIK will broadcast a show packed with features especially for IFA 2017. On the 3rd, ARD Schlagerwellen Bayern plus, MDR SCHLAGERWELT and NDR Plus present the performance of the Schlagerduos Olaf of the Flipper and Pia Malo, talking about their show with experts at the stand.
On 5 September, the DAB+ exhibition stand will be hosting a joint breakfast with BR home, including a musical accompaniment of a Bavarian marching band. Here visitors can get information about the station, which is distributed exclusively in Bavaria via DAB+.
Following IFA, ARD will also be providing information on DAB+ and traffic services on the radio at the IAA in Frankfurt from 16 to 24 September 2017.
DAB+ day at ARD and Deutschlandradio on 30 August
What technical innovations do modern DAB + radios offer and what should be considered when buying? And what is the status of the second nationwide DAB + multiplex?
On August 30, ARD and Deutschlandradio will provide answers to these and many other questions about digital radio reception with a nationwide editorial topic day, closing the three-week DAB+ action period in August. The radio broadcast will also be available online at dabplus.de.
