Lars Mueller, Senior Engineer at Hyundai, explains why they joined WorldDAB and how the radio and automotive sectors are working together on the future of in-car radio.
“I have been working with WorldDAB for over 5 years now. We joined to get more information on DAB, to find out where and how it is being deployed.”
“WorldDAB is the connection between broadcasters and manufactures and it’s an important role that it plays. There are still several issues for in-car digital radio, particularly on the broadcasters’ side, so bringing the two sectors together is key. Events like the Automotive Event are important to help solve these issues.”
“I have joined several committees and found that I learn a lot from each of them. Even for those with a lot of experience in radio, there are many different aspects of DAB and the committees are a great way to learn more and help solve technical challenges.”
“The development of hybrid radio is an area with a lot of potential – particularly when it comes to new features that the combination of DAB and IP will enable.”
